I got my replacement dash cam yesterday, and today I found this, which may be the first near-accident I caught on dash cam. Watch the right of the screen as the lady in the Explorer blindly pulls out & nearly broadsides my friend’s Camry. I was actually completely oblivious to what happened the time, as I was stopping to use my phone. After he told me she nearly hit him, I went back and checked the video, and sure enough.

I’m assuming you don’t have priority to the right in the US? (Because over here, your friend would be at fault.)

We do, but he was driving on a road with no stop sign and the other lady was pulling out from a side lot. He had the right-of-way.

Clearly a case of snow blindness, (looks like there was a little patch right where he was pulling out.)

Ah, all right, over here, no signs = priority to the right, even for sideroads and in parking lots, hence my confusion.

I think I was...
But I’ve seen it happen on multiple occasions so maybe I’m thinking of another time.
